He and those ribs of his were on the scene and KMPH Fox 26 News was there to interview him. Wright explained, "It all went down man, I stayed right next door, man, from the thing that happened, man, a barbecue, man. I was barbecuing, man. I seen some fire just come out the window, man, the window busted out, man. The only thing I think first is make sure them ribs is right." Wright continued, "I got my kids first, first thing I got my kids and I thought about my ribs, I didn't want to let my ribs to burn and stuff because I take pride in what I do, man. It's like 3 o'clock in the morning, I was hungry, man. I was like, 'Man, put them ribs on there, man. Some hot links and stuff, man.' We got it going and stuff, but I looked over, the fire was bursting. I was like, 'Man, this is crazy, man.'" So, man, he get any injuries? Nope, man. "I got no injuries, except for all the smoke in my lungs, but I already had smoke in my lungs, so I'm alright," Wright mused.
