by The Insider 3:19 mins

Charlie Hunnam Explains Why He Dropped Out of '50 Shades' Film Charlie Hunnam is featured in the new Calvin Klein women's fragrance ad, and now he also is opening up to "The Insider With Yahoo" about why he had to turn down the role of Christian Grey in "50 Shades of Grey." Charlie was filming "Sons of Anarchy" when he agreed to be in Guillermo Del Toro's new horror film. About the same time, he was offered the role of Christian Grey. He explained, "I just started having panic attacks about it, and I'm going to mess up. Not only am I going to mess up '50 Shades,' I'm also then not going to have enough time to prepare for Guillermo's film," he said. "He's my dear friend, mentor and I'm going to mess that up, and then I'm going to come back to 'Sons' and, you know, you get into something and it's hard to extract yourself." It was a difficult time for him. "The whole process was really unpleasant and heartbreaking," he said. Check out this video to hear more from Charlie, and tune in to "The Insider With Yahoo" on TV tonight.
