Ben Affleck accepted an award at the 2013 UCLA School of Theater, Film and Television’s Film Festival on Thursday at the Directors Guild of America in Los Angeles. The 40-year-old star was honored with the award for Filmmaker of the Year and we caught up with him on the red carpet, finding out what he would say to his kids if they ever decided to follow in his directorial footsteps. “I wouldn’t hypothesize about my own kids necessarily but, I would say that, you know, I think it’s a great job. I mean I think it’s a really interesting way to expose yourself to the world, and to sort of tell stories that help communicate the way you feel about the world. It’s a very difficult line of work.” Inside the event, The Oscar winner gave his sage advice to the attendees, including, “Do not have sex with the extras. Do not have sex with the actors. At least not the actors in your movie.” Check out the vid to hear more of Ben’s advice and tune into “omg! Insider” on TV tonight for more of the latest in entertainment news.
