Amanda Bynes: Parents Go to Court to Take Control

Amanda Bynes's parents are determined to help their troubled daughter. Lynn and Rick Bynes arrived at Ventura County Superior Court in Oxnard, California, Friday morning at 8:30 a.m. to request a conservatorship over their 27-year-old. Lawyer Tamar Arminak joined them to help plead their case before the judge. However, Judge Glen M. Reiser refused to make any ruling today because Amanda was not present in court. As has been previously reported, their temporary request was granted. Thursday to extend Amanda's temporary psych hold for up to an additional two weeks, starting yesterday. Amanda is now on a 5250 hold with her next hearing set for August 9. According to People, she now has a new court-appointed attorney, Mary Shea. For the latest entertainment news, check out “omg!
