Adam Levine Sells Semi-sutobiographical Comedy To NBC

by Wochit 1:04 mins

The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed NBC is expanding its relationship with Adam Levine. Three months after inking The Voice coach to a one-year first-look development deal, the network has picked up a script for a semi-autobiographical comedy from the Maroon 5 singer. John Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldstein have sold a "Bosses"-esque comedy centered on thirty-something guys who hate their jobs and make a pact to go back to when they were happiest -- working at the mall. They don't call her the Material Girl for nothin'. Madonna came in at No. 1 on Forbes' list of the top-earning celebrities for the period of June 2012 to June 2013. The $125 million the magazine estimated the 55-year-old Queen of Pop made was largely due to the massive success of her MDNA world tour, which grossed a whopping $305 million.
