Ted's Son on 'How I Met Your Mother' Kept Finale Secret for 9 Years

by The Insider 2:22 mins

After nine seasons, "How I Met Your Mother" ended with a finale on Monday night that left fans with mixed emotions. "The Insider With Yahoo" chatted with David Henrie, who plays the son in the TV series, and he revealed that he has kept the ending a secret for the past nine years. "I didn't tell anyone, I didn't even tell my [own] mother who the mother [on the show] was. I didn't tell anyone, David explained. "She didn't even know that I knew until a week ago when she started hearing all this stuff on Twitter and Facebook and stuff, and then she's like, 'Who's the mom?' I'm like, 'I'm not going to tell you who the mom is, I've been holding it for nine years; I signed contracts.'" The 24-year-old also remembered the day he found out the show's finale. "They brought these contracts on set. They told us they were going to tell us the end of the show. We signed the contracts, mind you, in the first season of the show."
