Duggar Scandal Bleeds Into 2016 Republican Presidential Campaigns

by The Insider 3:41 mins

It remains to be seen if the public will ever forgive the Duggar family in the wake of its eldest son Josh’s disturbing child-molestation admission. And now the scandal is bleeding into the 2016 Republican presidential campaigns, with photos all over social media showing Josh posing cheek-to-cheek with almost all the candidates. Out of the Republicans who have announced their bids, fellow Arkansas native Mike Huckabee is so far the only one to pledge his support for the Duggars — whom he has known for nearly two decades. But fellow candidates Ted Cruz, Rick Santorum and presumed candidate Jeb Bush have proudly posed with the admitted abuser as well. Washington Post reporter Amber Phillips calls it “Republicans’ Josh Duggar Problem” and told “The Insider With Yahoo,” “They need to at the very least make clear that they don’t condone what he did, but frankly we didn’t see that.” But what will become of the show in the wake of this scandal? Check out this video to hear more about the scandal backlash, and tune in to “The Insider With Yahoo” on TV tonight for the latest in entertainment news.
