Last night on "Dancing with the Stars," Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi and Sasha Farber were shockingly eliminated despite delivering strong and engaging performances week after week.
Snooki seemed genuinely heartbroken by the results. In her Halloween-themed costume, she wailed, "why am I leaving a zombie?" Tom Bergeron assured her that "zombies always come back."
The chihuahua/squirrel monkey/turtle/pocket rocket may be leaving the competition, but there are a lot of positives that she can take from her experience on the show. The occasionally loud, crass reality star has shown a different side of her personality these past few weeks.
She's shown her big heart, her sense of humor, strength in overcoming an eating disorder, and what a great mom she is.
Leah and Bill Dodge Another Bullet
I was a bit surprised to see Leah Remini and Tony Dovolani, and Bill Engvall and Emma Slater survive another week.
Although Leah has shown improvements these past two weeks, she did dodge a bullet a few weeks ago when Christina Milian and Mark Ballas were eliminated, and again last week when the producers decided not to eliminate anyone.
As for Bill, he has a great attitude and he really seems to be trying, but even he knows that he's the weakest dancer left in the competition.
Derek Finally Wins Len Over
It looks like Amber Riley and Derek Hough will really have to jump through hoops to get that perfect score. After weeks of incurring the wrath of resident curmudgeon Len Goodman, Derek was finally able to win over the head judge with their sizzling paso doble.
Unfortunately, Bruno Tonioli turned out to be a buzz kill, as he took a point off, citing that Amber needed to keep her shoulders further back.
Len responded by commenting that Amber was full of talent. He then pointed to Bruno and said, "I won't tell you what this guy is full of."
Carrie Ann Breaks Her Paddle
The judges praised Jack Osbourne and Cheryl Burke for their jive. They complimented his musicality and his ease of movement. However, the most memorable part of the performance was seeing Carrie Ann Inaba break her paddle when she awarded him a 10. Jack was able to keep the paddle as a souvenir.
No One Wants To Mispronounce "Foxing Awesome"
Amber and Derek, Corbin and Karina, Brant and Peta, and Jack and Cheryl were "foxing awesome" in their team dance.
Explaining how they came up with the name for their team, Jack revealed that he had a tattoo on his chest with words that sounded very close to "foxing awesome."
Tom spent the evening walking on eggshells, afraid that he would mispronounce the name. When reading the results, he revealed that all the members of...this team were safe.
