The only thing that could make the Super Bowl more American is Captain America himself.
Marvel took advantage of TV’s biggest event of the year to debut the new, full-length trailer to the upcoming “Captain America: The Winter Soldier.” The sequel to 2011′s “The First Avenger,” the patriotic superhero returns to adjust to 21st century life after being asleep for 70 years. He was last seen fighting aliens in “The Avengers.”
However, he has a intimidating new adversary: Bucky Barnes, his former best friend, who is now a brainwashed super-assassin, the Winter Soldier. Captain America is also now a full-fledged member of government agency S.H.I.E.L.D., where he’s joined by Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury and Scarlett Johansson as the Black Widow.
“Look like you’re giving the orders now, Captain,” says Fury, to which the superhero replies, “Damn right.”
“Captain America: The Winter Soldier” premieres April 4.
