Is there life after Justin Bieber for Selena Gomez.

Sure, their fairytale romance seems all but over, and what remains behind is little more than fodder for the tabloids, but has the Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez relationship truly run its course? Of course not! Here are five reasons you will be seeing Bieber-Gomez 2.0 sometime soon.

Selena is Not Over Justin Yet

Is Selena over Justin yet? Well, if her rendition of Justin Timberlake's 'Cry Me a River' at the recent UNICEF concert is any indication, the answer is no. As for her demeanor during the rendition of the song, it was one of anger according to US Weekly. Both tell-tale signs that perhaps the pop princess is not yet ready to get over the relationship.

Justin Needs Selena for His Image

Yes, Beiber has a legion of adoring fans, but how many of those fans are going to still be following the pop idol if he starts to tarnish his image? Of late Bieber has made headlines for smoking pot and for mooning the press. His answer for the first of the two? Easy, he said it was just a part of growing up. So how long before the teen star needs to boost up his image, and what better way to shore up that image than getting back together with the squeaky clean Gomez?

We've Been down this Road Before

Throughout the past few years the Beiber-Gomez relationship has gone through its shares of rumors and survived the ups and downs associated with such a young relationship. This was true in 2011, when Selena put a temporary halt on the relationship because she did not approve of Justin hanging around such 'bad boys' as Sean, Lil Wayne and Chris Brown. Shortly thereafter the couple was seen sharing a kiss at the Teen Choice Awards.

First Love Lingers Around Forever

According to studies conducted at UC Berkley, the experiences of "first love" seem to set the tone for your future relationships. The study mentions that "vivid memories" of such first loves are very detailed and self-defining. If this is so then Bieber and Gomez may one day rekindle the relationship based on the fond memories of their first love.

Hollywood Stars of Equal Power will Attract

While Bieber is by far the bigger of the two stars right now, teen stardom doesn't always translate to future stardom. In the meantime Gomez has more than just a singing career to hang her hat on, as she continues to pursue a blossoming acting career. Set to make an appearance on the big screen soon in the movie "Spring Breaker," Gomez may one day be a star of equal magnitude. At that point the relationship may be on more equal footing, and the couple could quiet easily end up back together again.
