It was a busy weekend in celebrity baby land! First, Kate Hudson and her Muse rocker fiance Matthew Bellamy, welcomed a son. Then, Victoria Beckham and David Beckham welcomed both Prince William and Kate Middleton and their new daughter on Sunday.
"Matthew and Kate welcomed a healthy baby boy on July 9, 2011," Hudson's rep told Access Hollywood on Sunday.
Hudson and Bellamy reportedly haven't picked a name for their new bundle of joy, but the Beckhams sure did! The couple named their first daughter Harper Seven Beckham.
"Seven is a very spiritual lucky number. She was born in the seventh month, in the seventh hour," the source continued.
We're excited for the new moms, but it got us thinking: which star would we want as our mom?
Hudson seems like the perfect sort of free-spirit mom -- she didn't cut son Ryder's hair for a long time.
"Cooking is one of my favorite things to do; when I'm away on a set and can't cook for Ryder, it drives me crazy. I like to get as inventive as possible," Hudson said of her cooking preferences for her son. "He doesn't like veggies, so I boil them, puree them, then hide them in his food so he doesn't say, 'Mommy, I see something green...' Often I put them in lasagna or other kinds of pasta.
However, she was spotted drinking a glass of what appeared to be wine while pregnant -- typically a pregnancy no-no.
Fashion-conscious Beckham is likely going to spoil little Harper with tons of adorable designer outfits -- after all, her other three children are all sons. Beckham's pals even threw her an all-pink baby shower earlier this year.
However, Beckham admits to maintaining her stick-thin figure with a strict diet.
"I think there's a big difference between someone having an eating disorder and someone who is controlled about what they eat. There's a big difference, and every now and then of course I go out and eat what I like. But I do try to be quite disciplined in the way that I eat," Beckham said in 2006.
Will she pass that on to her daughter?
Beckham Vs. Hudson: Who Wins?
Honestly, it's hard to choose. Both moms -- like every mom in the world -- have their good qualities and bad qualities. How about we create the perfect hippie/fashion-savvy mom by combining the two women? That would be the perfect mom, we think.
Who would you rather have as your mom?
