(Lea Michele)

When I think of "Glee" season 4, I'm reminded of this season of "30 Rock" when Jack Donaghy (Alec Baldwin) deliberately introduces poor quality programming in order to "tank NBC." It makes me wonder if these "Glee" writers are trying to take down FOX from the inside. It's that bad.

Season 1 Redux

Why is Tina (Jenna Ushkowitz) suddenly pursuing gay boys? Back in season 1, when Mercedes (Amber Riley) had a crush on Kurt (Chris Colfer), Tina was the one who argued that she should back off because he is gay.

Now Tina is repeating history three seasons later, but worse. At the time, Mercedes was unaware of Kurt's sexual orientation. Has Tina turned a blind eye to the fact that Blaine is coming off a very serious relationship with a guy? And despite Blaine's (Darren Criss) drunken make-out session with Rachel, he's not going to start playing for her team.

Let's hope this "Blatina" story line goes away. I'm having painful flashbacks to Kurt's season 1 crush on Finn (Cory Monteith).

Tina may have disbanded the Too Young to Be Bitter club, but I'm too young to be a bitter "Glee" fan.

Blaine has a similarly inappropriate crush on Sam (Chord Overstreet), but he at least has acknowledged the fact that Sam is straight and that nothing can happen.

'Roid Rage

Speaking of "Blam," we knew the writers were going to find some loophole in order to allow New Directions to compete at regionals, but the Warblers on steroids? Really? Besides, even if they are able to successfully disqualify the Warblers, it wouldn't cancel out the fact that Marley (Melissa Benoist) got the glee club disqualified by passing out on stage. Therefore, that Mennonite choir would be the winners by default.

Not Loving the Meow Mix

Kitty (Becca Tobin) has her sights on Jake (Jacob Artist) but he only has eyes for Marley. Big Bro Puck (Mark Salling) wants to make sure that Kitty leaves Jake A-L-O-N. And the only way is to get in on the meow mix himself.

Kitty and Puck attended the Sadie Hawkins dance together (despite the fact that Puck graduated). They later left to enjoy some A-L-O-N time in the car.

Was I the only one disturbed by how lightly they handled the issue of statutory rape?

Roommate Etiquette 101

I had high hopes for Brody (Dean Geyer) as a love interest. After all, Finn kind of blew it by breaking up with Rachel (Lea Michele) last season and not calling for months. But nothing good can come from "Brochel."

Rachel may have accepted his apology for showing up 45 minutes late for their date, but I'm not buying it. If he had been waiting on the platform for 45 minutes (as he claimed), then he would have had plenty of opportunities to call or text to let her know that he was running late.

Besides, after hooking up with her mortal enemy Cassandra (Kate Hudson), I don't trust this guy.

And whatever happened to roommate etiquette? Couldn't she have bothered to talk to Kurt before asking her boyfriend to move in?

How Do You Like Them Adam's Apples?

I'm liking the role reversal between Blaine and Kurt, Blaine crushing on a guy that he can't have, and Kurt actually being pursued for a change. We know that Karofsky (Max Adler) pursued Kurt last season, but I'm thinking that his crush stemmed more from friendship and gratitude rather than actual romantic feelings.

Charming Adam (Oliver Kieran-Jones) will certainly give Blaine a run for his money. Kurt and Adam's budding romance was the one redeeming aspect of an otherwise painful season 4 episode of "Glee."
