The big screen Janis Joplin has been found.
Tony-winning actress Nina Arianda will play the raspy-voiced rock legend in a biopic, "Joplin," Deadline reported on Monday evening.
According to the industry website, the picture has a budget of $20 million and will start filming next year.
Nina had a role in Woody Allen's "Midnight in Paris." She also appeared in Brett Ratner's "Tower Heist."
Prior to Nina's casting, other names rumored to be linked to the project included Zooey Deschanel and Pink.
Both Amy Adams & Renee Zellweger were also linked to the Janis Joplin part in other big screen pictures over the years.
