The star of A Shot at Love with Tila Tequila has reportedly been struggling with substance abuse problems and has admitted to being addicted to pain medications. In 2010, the model, whose legal name is Tila Nguyen, was poised to appear as one of the high-profile clients on the fourth season of Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew, but withdrew from the cast.

According to TMZ, her roommate called 911 on Feb. 29 and said that Nguyen had "tried to kill herself all week." Cops found her fading in and out of consciousness and she was taken to St. Joseph's hospital in Burbank, Calif. Although she was released under recommendation that she seek psychiatric care, her manager later called 911 again, but authorities were not able to enter the home. Nguyen told a 911 operator that she couldn't open the door because she was in a wheelchair.

There are no details regarding which treatment facility is accepting Nguyen or when she will begin to receive help.
