TBS has canceled Lopez Tonight.

"TBS has reached the difficult decision not to order a third season of Lopez Tonight," the network said Wednesday in a statement. "Thursday will be the final episode of the show. We are proud to have partnered with George Lopez, who is an immensely talented comedian and entertainer. TBS has valued its partnership with George and appreciates all of his work on behalf of the network, both on and off the air."

Hosted by George Lopez, the late-night show was panned when it started in 2009, but scored decent ratings in the 11 p.m. hour for TBS. Lopez famously turned over the time slot to Conan O'Brien last year — pushing Lopez Tonight to midnight — even calling O'Brien to persuade him to join the network as his lead-in.

Since the slot bump, ratings have dropped significantly; the show most recently nabbed 0.2 demo rating and fewer than 500,000 viewers.
