Taylor Swift's relationship with her new Rhode Island neighbors is not exactly a love story. According to a new report from Connecticut's The Day newspaper, the chart-topper's $17 million property is currently undergoing some intensive construction, permit-free, that will eventually alter the coastline.
The paper shared a photo of construction workers moving boulders at the coast around Swift's home located in Watch Hill. The publication went on to claim that the workers' alteration of the coastline could affect local surfing and complained that the wall Swift was building was over-the-top.
The Grammy winner purchased the property, which features eight bedrooms, 10.5 bathrooms, and 700 feet of waterfront, in April 2013 after getting rid of her Hyannis Port, Massachusetts home next door to the Kennedy compound following her split with Conor Kennedy.
Swift recently wrapped her worldwide Red Tour in Melbourne, Australia after celebrating her 24th birthday down under.
