Taulbee hired as director of Muncie Animal Care and Services

MUNCIE, Ind. — Mayor Dan Ridenour's administration announced the appointment of Joshua Taulbee as the director of Muncie Animal Care and Services.

The appointment of Taulbee, a lifelong Muncie resident, was announced April 18. He succeeds Katy Wolfe, whose employment with the city apparently ended a few days earlier.

“I’m passionate about serving my community,” said Taulbee — a 2015 Ball State University graduate who had been employed by Delaware County for seven years.

In a news release, Taulbee listed his "primary goals" as "building a comprehensive understanding of each role within ... (Muncie Animal Care and Services), developing stronger working relationships with other shelters and animal rescues within the community, and to hire an assistant director."

He will begin work on April 30.

“We’re excited to bring Josh on board,” Ridenour said in the news release. “He’s going to bring a new perspective, and we know he’ll work hard to keep things running smoothly.”
