"American Idol" may currently be on hiatus, but Season 11 will be back with a vengeance before you know it (the scheduled premiere date is January 22). And even though Season 10 wrapped back in May, "Idol" judge Steven Tyler has been keeping himself plenty busy.
Check out what the Demon of Screamin' has been up to since he last graced the "Idol" stage:
Dude looks like a dolly! That's right, the rocker has been transformed into a doll -and let's just say it's one rockin' Cabbage Patch Kid. Steven, as well as celebs like Kristin Chenoweth and Katherine Heigl, has been immortalized as a one-of-a-kind, lookalike Cabbage Patch Kid doll. The JAKKS Pacific Inc creation, which is described as "rock 'n roll inspired in every detail….from the choker necklaces, bead bracelets and tight jeans to the printed rocker t-shirt and curly, highlighted hair" comes with a mic stand and a signature scarf tied around it. The doll is currently up for auction on eBay, with proceeds going to the Children's Action Network. Check out the auction here.
I Heart ST
In September, Steven trekked to Vegas for the iHeartRadio Music Festival, where he teamed up with rock legends Sting and Jeff Beck to perform the Aerosmith classic, "Sweet Emotion." He also jammed with "X Factor" judge Nicole Scherzinger and his "Idol" co-star Randy Jackson on the song "Feels So Good."
Demon of Design
Steven also signed on to be the spokesperson for a new rock and roll clothing line called Andrew Charles. The Andy Hilfiger-designed line recently launched at Macy's department stores, and is totally Tyler-inspired. (Hilfiger's description: "Very '70s, very gypsy, very boho.") The line features a mix of denim and leather pieces, knits and outerwear, while a spinoff collection, Rock Scarf, features a variety of rocker-inspired scarves.
This fall he regrouped with his Aerosmith band mates for a Latin American tour, which kicked off on October 22 in Lima, Peru. Despite a medical mishap (more on that below) the band played on and didn't miss a show. Next up, Aerosmith will play several concert dates in Japan before Steven heads back to the States to resume his "Idol" judging duties.
While on tour In October, Steven made headlines after he fell in a Paraguay hotel room shower. The rocker bashed his head and broke a tooth, but assured fans that the incident was a result of him feeling woozy due to food poisoning and was not a relapse.
Meanwhile, at some point during his busy hiatus, Steven found time to join fellow judges Randy Jackson and Jennifer Lopez as well as "Idol" host Ryan Seacrest to shoot the first official trailer for the show's new season. You can check out the trailer-- which first aired during the World Series-- here.
