Stephanie Seymour got more unwanted - well, we think its unwanted - attention earlier this week when she showed up to a Tribeca Film Festival fete wearing a completely see-through dress. Oh, and she wasn't wearing a bra, either. The aging supermodel seemed unaware that the bright flashbulbs were showing off her goodies. However, it's not the first time photographers have caught her in a compromising position. Seymour was on the beach with her son and the resulting photos caused fans to wonder whether or not an incestuous relationship was going on between them.
The whole thing was blown out of proportion, she said.
"He was wooing me and gave me a big hug and a kiss, and we had no idea that that one second would be turned into something that could ever be thought of as inappropriate," she told Oprah in a 2011 interview. "He's my baby. He's a gorgeous young man, but he's my baby."
Luckily, Seymour can find solace in the knowledge that many, many celebs have accidentally - or purposefully - worn sheer dresses on the red carpet.
Pussycat Dolls' Melody Thornton
Former Pussycat Dolls lead singer left little - and we mean little - to the imagination when she wore a completely sheer dress to an Elle UK event in early April.
"What I'm wearing at the Elle Party," she tweeted. Fans were not pleased. "I got luv for ya girl, but ur waaay too pretty to have ur assets on display & for free…w/Luv," one Twitter follower wrote to her.
Did seem to matter - she wore the dress proudly on the red carpet.
Rose McGowan also left little to the imagination when she showed up to the 1998 MTV VMAs wearing a chain-mail dress and thong that showed off her rear - and everything else. She later broke up with Manson.
"I wore it to cause an uproar," she later told Maxim magazine. "But I'll confess that I did change into another dress after walking up the red carpet. Those little strands in the back would have given me griddle butt if I'd sat down."
These days? She's not into the body-bearing wear.
"When I'm at home in sweatpants I don't feel like [a diva]," she told Starpulse in 2011. "Sometimes I'm dressed up, but I don't put the name tag on myself. That's something for somebody else to do."
Former Cheetah Girls singer - and Rob Kardashian's ex-girlfriend - proudly went commando on the red carpet in March in a dress called a "sneak peek of [Bailon's] upcoming fashion line collaboration with Dominique Auxilly." The sheer number had a strategic large ruffle in front of her private areas, but it blew in the breeze, showing off her front and behind. How embarrassing.
Which look is the worst?
