Stella McCartney’s Puffier Than Usual Face Sparks Huge Instagram Backlash
Stella McCartney has faced criticism after a photo was uploaded to Instagram with users questioning whether she has had cosmetic surgery.

Paul McCartney’s 44-year-old daughter was hosting a Christmas party at her Mayfair store this week, but rather than the event being the talk of social media, it was her looks.
After Vogue’s international editor Suzy Menkes posted the seemingly innocuous photo, Instagram quickly went into meltdown after fans piled in to comment on Stella’s puffier than usual face.
“Stella McCartney is ready to roll out her holiday windows at her London store,” Suzy captioned the snap before the negative comments started rolling in.
“Whats happened to her face,” wrote one person while another added: “She went to the wrong doctor!”

One particularly cruel user compared her with the scary character from horror film Child’s Play: ‘She looks like Chucky’s sister. I’m shocked! What happened to growing old gracefully?’
In the picture, Stella’s lips do appear plumper than usual and her forehead extremely smooth.
However, as another commenter pointed out: “Come on guys, it’s just the lighting.”

Despite the social media reaction, the fashion designer later uploaded some photos of her own later on in the evening in which she smiled happily throughout.
So far Stella is yet to comment on the criticism.
