The 10th Annual "The Heart Truth" Red Dress Collection fashion show was held on Wednesday night in New York City, with the stars shining out on the catwalk. This is always a fun and exciting event, and is sponsored by the U.S. National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute - part of the campaign to raise awareness about heart disease in women.
Here is a look at the most beautiful celebs over 40 to strut their stuff at last night's show.
Wow, if we could only look half as good as Christie Brinkley when we're 58 years old, we'd be pretty happy! The actress and model stunned on the catwalk Wednesday night, wearing a Pamela Rolland gown and showing off her beautiful bare shoulders as she glowed on the runway.
She celebrated her birthday just last week and remarked that one of her secrets for staying young is singing and dancing. She's been doing just that in the Broadway production of "Chicago."
Jenna Elfman reached the age of 40 last year, but you'd never know it from her stunning appearance as she modeled a crimson strapless Alberta Ferretti dress. She commented just before the show , "I love fashion, I love performance, I love charity." She may have been a little nervous as she also said she planned to take big steps on the catwalk so she could get to the end faster, but she looked so gorgeous we don't think she had any reason to feel that way!
Singer Gloria Estefan is 54, and she rocked the catwalk in a dress designed by her friend, Narcisso Rodriguez. Wearing her hair in an updo, she commented, "Narciso is a good buddy of mine. He's done [dresses for] a lot of very special events for me throughout my career and what better than this my first runway. The last runway I was nine years old doing a fashion show wearing my pajamas."
The gorgeous star will appear in an upcoming episode of "Glee" this season.
Linda Evans wore a scarlet Tadashi Shoji dress. The "Dynasty" star will be 70 years old this year! She's always been a beautiful woman, and it's obvious that she's still got it. She told Yahoo! Shine, "I didn't rehearse it. I have no idea what I'm doing, but I'm thrilled to make the statement, thrilled to be here for women. It's an honor to be here."
The "Big Valley" actress also said she was nervous, but she came through with flying colors!
The show was a wonderful way to kick off New York Fashion Week, and we congratulate all of these ladies for coming together for a great cause.
