Glee's Mike Chang (Harry Shum Jr.) will have an increased role on season 2 in the form of a Mike/Tina/Artie love triangle.

According to E Online, Tina (Jenna Ushkowitz) will turn her back on Artie (Kevin McHale) and romance power dancer Mike Chang (Other Asian).

As Glee's Harry Shum remarks, " "Mike Chang [is] in a love triangle with Tina and Artie, which is super fun. This season I have a little bigger role, so you'll see more of Mike Chang, but you'll definitely see some more dancing, and that's what Mike Chang's all about!"

This development will not be surprising to most Gleeks. We saw shades of the future love triangle when Mike, Tina, and Artie performed Dream a Little Dream of Me on Dream On. As for Mike's increased role on Glee, fans have been waiting for months to hear him speak.

The Mike/Tina/Artie love triangle is a positive development because it might just motivate Artie to be a better boyfriend. As sweet as Artie is, he's had his moments of douche bag behavior (rolling away from her when she confessed to not having a stutter, criticizing her Gothic style, and pushing her away when she was trying to encourage him in Dream On).

A Mike/Tina/Artie triangle would also be a refreshing change from the whole Rachel/Finn/Quinn/Puck storyline. While we're at it, here are a few outrageous love triangles I'd love to see on Glee.

Rachel/Finn/Sunshine: According to JSYK, superstar Charice will join the cast of Glee as a foreign exchange student named Sunshine. Sunshine will have the vocal chops and the ego to give Rachel a run for her money. Why not raise the stakes in the impending diva-off by having Sunshine pursue Finn?

April/Will/Shelby: Imagine the cat fights (and glorious duets) between Glinda and Elphaba. Newly single Will Schuester will love having two attractive women fighting over him.

Bryan Ryan/Sue Sylvester/Principal Figgins: Bryan Ryan may be married, but the "anger sex" between him and Sue was pure comedic genius. And who didn't love the blackmail photos of Sue "in bed" with Figgins? Just imagine the fights between Bryan and Figgins when Figgins tells him that he "will not put up with these shenanigans at this school!"

Finn/Terri/Puck: Sweet dopey Finn is easy prey for newly-single mentally-imbalanced Terri. She pursues him because he reminds her of a young Will. But wait--cougars are for Puck, not Finn.

Quinn/Will/Emma: While the Rachel/Will storyline was bordering on creepy, the Quinn/Will dynamic was actually kind of endearing. ("You're a really good teacher, even if everyone's calling you a man whore.") Squeaky clean Will explored his dark side when he made out with Shelby and "slept" with April. Why not take it one step further by having a mutual attraction between him and Quinn, a girl who reminds him of a young Terri?

Of course, they won't actually go through with it (this is a family show!). Quinn will pay a visit to guidance counselor Emma and realize that her feelings for Will are a symptom of her "father issues."

Can't wait to see Tina, Artie, and Mike as well as the rest of the cast on season 2 of Glee.
