Sheryl Crow Files Request For Restraining Order

Sheryl Crow has filed a request for a restraining order against a fan she claims has threatened to shoot her, according to court documents obtained by ET.

In the papers, Crow asks that a 45-year-old man named Phillip Gordon Sparks be required to keep a distance of at least 100 yards away from her two sons, nanny, sister, assistant, parents, siblings, managers and herself.

The filings state that Sparks first caught Crow's attention through Facebook posts in which he claimed that Crow had "stolen money from him," "tried to have him arrested" and "had broken into his house because [she] was looking for his gun."

Crow denies all of those allegations in the court documents and writes, "It was clear to me that he was deeply disturbed because his posts were delusional ramblings, filled with profanity and laced with angry rants."

This news follows Crow's announcement last month that she has been diagnosed with a benign brain tumor. According to her rep the tumor is nothing for the Grammy winning singer to worry about.

The restraining order request is still awaiting a ruling from a judge.
