Sherri Shepherd

"The View" star Sherri Shepherd has been married for about a year - and now she's ready to give her son Jeffrey a brother or a sister. The caveat: The 45-year-old actress and comedian wants to do it through a surrogate.

"I'm trying to have another baby you know, I'm still trying . . . still looking for a uterus," she told Rachael Ray on the Monday episode of her show. So, what's in it for the surrogate?

"I'll give you a free weave and a Hyundai for a year," she joked.

Shepherd might consider getting some advice or assistance from other celebrities who opted to have their children through surrogates.

Giuliana Rancic and Bill Rancic

E! News star Giuliana Rancic and her husband, Bill Rancic, have been through quite the emotional time over the past couple of years. First, they fought with fertility issues - and then Giuliana was diagnosed with breast cancer in late 2011.

All their pain was worth it, though: The couple welcomed their first child through gestational carrier, Edward Duke, in August.

"He's just the best baby in the world," she told E! News after her was born. "But I'm sure all mothers say that. He's beyond adorable, though. I'm completely enamored."

The pregnancy was well-documented on their reality show, "Giuliana and Bill" - and the entertainment journalist said the birth will be shown on television, too.

Keith Urban and Nicole Kidman

We were all blindsided when Keith Urban and Nicole Kidman announced the birth of their second daughter, Faith Margaret, through surrogate in February 2011. The daughter joined the couple's older daughter, Sunday Rose, born through traditional pregnancy.

"Our family is truly blessed, and just so thankful, to have been given the gift of baby Faith Margaret. No words can adequately convey the incredible gratitude that we feel for everyone who was so supportive throughout this process, in particular our gestational carrier," the private couple said at the time.

Chris Daughtry and Deanna Daughtry

Rocker Chris Daughtry was thrilled to announce the birth of his fraternal twins, Adalynn Rose and Noah James, in November 2010. The couple opted to have the twins through surrogate after Deanna went through a partial hysterectomy.

"Our family is overwhelmed with joy by these two precious gifts from God," Daughtry said in a statement on his website.

The former "American Idol" finalist later joked that making the band's album "Break the Spell" was much easier than having twins.

"Between raising twins and recording a record, recording a record is a vacation," he joked to in Nov. 2011.
