Almost one year after same-sex marriage was legalized in New York, Sex and the City's Cynthia Nixon finally walked down the aisle with her longtime partner Christine Marinoni, People reports.

Cynthia Nixon clarifies comments: "Bisexuality is not a choice"

"On May 27, 2012, Cynthia Nixon and her girlfriend, Christine Marinoni, were legally married in the state of New York," a rep for the actress told the magazine. "Nixon wore a custom dress by Carolina Herrera."

Nixon, 46, got engaged to her partner of eight years at a rally to support same-sex marriage in New York in 2009. Marinoni, 45, gave birth to their son Max last year. Prior to their relationship, Nixon was in a 15-year relationship with Danny Mozes, with whom she has two children.
