Scott Disick is really embracing being compared to narcissistic "American Psycho" character Patrick Bateman.
According to In Touch, a source has revealed that Scott spent the weekend in Brooklyn with Kanye West and Kim Kardashian's BFF Jonathan Cheban. The guys were reportedly shooting a promotional video for Kanye's new album "Yeezus," and the video had a violent "American Psycho" theme. Scott likely played a character similar to the self-obsessed, murderous millionaire featured in the movie, and poor Jonathan gets killed in the end.
"Kanye wants the video to go viral and drum up more publicity for his album," the source told In Touch. The video will reportedly be released later this week.
Disick resembles Christian Bale's character from "American Psycho" so much that Kourtney Kardashian and her sisters once said that Bale should play Disick if "Keeping Up With the Kardashians" ever gets turned into a movie. Scott also dressed up like the yuppie serial killer for Halloween last year, so the reality star definitely doesn't mind being compared to the murderer.
With his slicked-back hair and his preppy sense of style, it's no surprise that Scott reminds so many people of an '80s yuppie. He pulls the look off so well that "American Psycho" author Bret Easton Ellis even thinks that he should be cast in a reboot of the gory movie based on his book. According to Vulture, Ellis tweeted this in 2011: "I have warned Lionsgate that I will not approve a new version of 'American Psycho' unless it stars SCOTT DISICK or MILES FISHER."
During a 2010 episode of "Kourtney & Khloe Take Miami," Khloe Kardashian also seemed concerned about the similarities between Scott and sociopaths like Patrick Bateman. According to OK! Magazine, Khloe said this about why she came to the conclusion that Scott must be a sociopath: "They feel very entitled to everything, lack of remorse, shame or guilt, need for stimulation, living on the edge, verbal outburst, physical punishments are normal. The more I read this, the more I am convinced." She also told Disick, "You have murder in your eyes. You look like a serial killer!"
Luckily for Scott, Kanye definitely doesn't seem creeped out by the Bateman comparisons -- instead he's capitalizing on them by using them to showcase the dark themes that "Yeezus" will feature. At least he's making good use of Kim's connections.
So do you think that it's weird that Scott keeps on channeling a serial killer character?
