"Saturday Night Live" star Jason Sudeikis has been moving up from sketch comedy show player to Hollywood player. With upcoming buzz-worthy comedy "Horrible Bosses" set to release this month, and a recent successful hosting gig at the MTV Movie Awards under his belt, his career is on the rise. After a divorce last year, Jason reportedly hooked up with Jennifer Aniston, and recently split with "Mad Men" star January Jones. Now it looks like he may have sexy actress Eva Mendes in his sights.
Sudeikis and Mendes apparently originally shared laughs during their "Hangover" spoof at the MTV Movie Awards. After initial reports that the two stars got cozy following a theater benefit in Santa Monica, there have been new sightings of the pair together. They had a more formal date the second time around, meeting up with Sudeikis' "Horrible Bosses" costar Jason Bateman and his wife for dinner at L'Artusi in New York's West Village. Sudeikis was overheard saying "We're a great team!" which honestly could be applied to his on screen role with Bateman as easily as his off screen one with Mendes.
Mendes is Hollywood's go-to tough and sexy girl for action films like "2 Fast 2 Furious," "Once Upon a Time in Mexico" and "Ghost Rider." She's also taken turns in comedy roles like "Stuck on You," "Hitch" and "The Other Guys." You may also recognize her as a Revlon spokeswoman, or from her NSFW Calvin Klein Secret Obsession ads.
The news of a possible Sudeikis romance has gossip sites buzzing, since Mendes has been with filmmaker and business partner George Augusto since 2002. Rumors of a reported split with Augusto have been circulating since late last year, heating up recently due to Mendes publicly nixing the idea of children and calling the institution of marriage "a very archaic kinda thing. I don't think it fits in my world today ."
This should suit Sudeikis just fine, with his post-divorce agenda appearing to be to date as many fantastically beautiful women as possible while he's working his way up to A-list status. His next film project is "Movie 43," a comedy short compilation with a big-name cast that includes Kate Winslet, Naomi Watts, Hugh Jackman and Gerard Butler. Mendes is doing well herself with two upcoming film projects, including "The Place Beyond the Pines" with Bradley Cooper and Ryan Gosling. Whether or not the two actors become an official couple, the two will be have plenty to keep themselves busy this year.
