Salma Hayek Steps Out in a Sad Stella McCartney Frock, Plus Her Other Fashion Missteps

Salma Hayek usually stuns, but sometimes she has some major fashion missteps.

Salma Hayek recently stepped out at the Deauville Film Festival wearing a completely unflattering and unattractive black Stella McCartney strapless asymmetrical gown. The major downfall of the ensemble was the bodice, which looked strange especially with the satin material of the dress. It also doesn't help that the dress was plain and boring with no stand out detailing. She finished off the look with black peep-toe heels, a watch, a teal clutch and teal-and-black drop earrings. Her recent misstep is not the first time the usually stylish celeb has made a fashion faux pas on the red carpet.

2011 Toronto Film Festival

At the premiere of "Americano" at the 2011 Toronto Film Festival, the Mexican beauty wore a camel colored Alexander McQueen dress that had a gold bodice and a brown and gray wide corset belt cinched around her middle. She accessorized with a metallic clutch, gold earrings and gold heels. The style of the dress is unattractive, it looks way too tight on the top and she wore her hair half up, half down, which didn't go well with this look at all.

"La Chispa de la Vida"premiere

On February 15, 2012, the 45-year-old attended the premiere of "La Chispa de la Vida" in Berlin while wearing a black long-sleeve YSL Edition Soir gown that made her look at least a couple of decades older. If she was in mourning and churning butter, this is the dress she would wear. Not only is the gown hideous, but it didn't flatter her fabulous figure either. The bun she put her hair into also didn't help. The only good thing about this outfit was the earrings.

"Puss in Boots" premiere

At the London premiere of "Puss in Boots" on November 24, 2011, the stunner looked less-than-fabulous in a black YSL suit, black vest, seafoam green halter underneath and a black hat. She was just a little late for the Halloween celebration. While we love menswear inspired fashion, this ensemble gets two big thumbs down.
