Sacha Baron Cohen certainly made a scene on the Oscar red carpet.

British actor Sacha Baron Cohen is known for his outrageous characters Ali G, Borat, Bruno, and now his middle east dictator character Admiral General Aladeen. After hearing Baron's character was not invited to the ceremony, then allowed on the red carpet, it was just a matter of time until the stunt happened. And it did. Cohen was being interviewed by E! host, Ryan Seacrest, when Cohen dumped an urn full of the fake ashes of Korean dictator, Kim Jong Il.

Cohen isn't the first person to create a wild red carpet moment, though. Here's a list of other outrageous Oscar red carpet moments.

Quentin Tarantino spits On Chris Connelly

While a surprised Mira Sorvino looked on, the controversial director used his moment being interviewed on the red carpet by Connelly in 1997 to show his distaste for something Connelly had written about Tarantino's birth father in the past, by hocking a big loogie right in the reporter's direction, ultimately missing. Turns out, Tarantino had the wrong guy. Connelly didn't write the piece about his father that got him all worked up.

Bjork's Swan Outfit

Back in 2001, Iceland native Bjork stepped on the red carpet in one of the most historically hilarious dresses in history, designed by Marjan Pejoski. Dressed in nothing but a swan and a smile, the singer looked like something out of a production of "Swan Lake" rather than an Oscar nominee.

Trey Parker and Matt Stone

Of course you would expect nothing less from the creators of South Park, than to do something wild on the red carpet when they were nominated for their song, "Blame Canada" back in 2000. They showed up in drag wearing the iconic green Versace Jennifer Lopez had worn to the Grammy's just a few weeks before, and the pink gown Gwyneth Paltrow wore when she won Best Actress back in 1999. Later the duo would reveal that they were tripping acid when they pulled this stunt.

So Admiral General Aladeen was not the first person to pull a wild stunt on the red carpet at the Academy Awards, and he probably won't be the last. What was your favorite unforgettable red carpet moment from the Oscars? Did Cohen's stunt go too far?
