Robert Pattinson has done what many dream to do - ring the opening bell at the New York Stock Exchange. On Tuesday, August 14 while decked out in a two-button blue Gucci suit and bright blue tie, he and the director of "Cosmopolis," David Cronenberg, were all smiles for the 9:30 a.m. honor. If he's still reeling from the cheating scandal with ex-girlfriend, Kristen Stewart, it didn't show. Other than starting off Tuesday's trading, how else has he been keeping busy post cheating scandal?
The 26-year-old attended the premiere of his newest movie, "Cosmopolis," at the Museum of Modern Art in NYC on August 13. He looked dapper in a blue Gucci suit with a dark blue dress shirt, black shoes and black tie. A great change of pace from the standard gray or black suit usually worn on red carpets. He was likely very nervous at the event thanks to all the publicity surrounding his personal life, and while he looked more serious than usual, he handled things really well. The movie is set to hit theaters on August 17, but is it worth seeing? It's currently rated a 6 out of 10 stars by IMDB users and some movie critics giving it a rather scathing review including saying it's a "Vapid, claustrophobic drama."
"Good Morning America" appearance
Those who tuned into "Good Morning America" on August 15 hoping to hear all the dish on KStew were left hanging. Rob wasn't interested in the least with talking about his relationship. With a little present of Cinnamon Toast Crunch cereal, host George Stephanopoulos said to him "I gotta get the elephant in the room out of the way. Everybody just wants to know, how are you doing? And what do you want your fans to know about what's going on in your personal life?" After quite a bit of stuttering and babbling, Rpatz responded with "Um, I'd like my fans to know that Cinnamon Toast Crunch only has 130 calories a bowl in it for instance. Pretty much everything that comes out of my mouth is irrelevant." When asked how he handles the craziness, he said "You go into it to do movies. I'm never been interested in trying to sell my personal life. The reason why you go onto TV is to promote movies." It was obviously his not-so-subtle way of putting his foot down and letting the media know he has zero interest in discussing his personal life.
"Queen of the Desert"
Big news for fans of the actor! He's reportedly signed on to play T.E. Lawrence in "Queen of the Desert" alongside Naomi Watts. Shooting is said to start this fall in England and Jordan. Well if he's trying to help keep is mind busy from his personal life, diving head first is the way to do it.
Are you planning on seeing "Cosmopolis"?
