Robert Pattinson is a worldwide heartthrob

Robert Pattinson made his way Down Under over the weekend to start promotion for "The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part II." Of course, he's doing it on his own - co-star and estranged girlfriend Kristen Stewart is in Tokyo for her part of the promotion. The scruffy actor seemed in good spirits as he met with fans, though at least one member of the media wasn't too impressed with him.

Robert Pattinson: Rude

The British actor went immediately from a 14-hour flight to a series of interviews with Australian media. Bet he was a little tired, right? That was no excuse to one reporter, though - the broadcaster blasted Pattinson for yawning during an interview.

"I'm sure Rob's a nice chap but yawing halfway through the interview … I don't care, it was bloody rude," he said.

Give the guy a break!

Robert Pattinson Talks Kristen Stewart

We're sure Summit strictly banned reporters from asking Pattinson about his relationship with Stewart. However, he was more than willing to talk about Stewart - only in the context of the movie, though.

Basically, he was pleased with how she transitioned from human to vampire in the series.

"She was really excited about being a vampire," he told MTV News. "…it's funny seeing someone suddenly come into it and try and figure out their own version of the physicality and the mentality of it. … It's supposed to be a natural progression for her to become a vampire, it's supposed to be simple. So I guess it was kind of different."

A 'Twilight' Spin-off?

Pattinson knows that the "Twilight" franchise made him famous. You'd think he'd be pretty loyal to the series, right? He is, to an extent - and he's even willing to do a new series of spin-offs if that ever happens.

"I don't say 'definitely not' to anything," he told the Herald Sun. "Just in case."

He's definitely tired of playing the same character, though. Earlier this year he told that he felt "useless" playing Edward Cullen for so long.

"…You get to the point where you're like, 'I don't want to do a film for a teen audience any more,'" he said in March.

But, the role paved the way for all of the acting jobs he's received since. Next up? He'll head back to Australia to film a new movie.

"My next thing I'm doing in Australia with this guy David Michod who did 'Animal Kingdom,' and Guy Pearce," he told MTV Austrailia. "That's going to be fun."
