Robert Pattinson has already packed his bag, but will he forgive Kristen Stewart?

Now that Kristen Stewart has publicly apologized for cheating on boyfriend Robert Pattinson with her married "Snow White and the Huntsmen" director, "Twilight" fans across the land are waiting with bated breath to see if the he will forgive her.

While Pattinson has been mum regarding his girlfriend's caught-on-camera indiscretion, an April interview with Italy's Vanity Fair provided clues to his feelings on infidelity.

"There's a thing I've never got: That is, why do people cheat?" he said. "I'm not the casual-affair kind of guy. If I choose to be with someone, it's because I really want it. When I have a relationship, I'm 100 percent into it."

But can he forgive and forget? Here are five celebs who forgave their cheating partners.

Kathie Lee Gifford

In 1997, when her hubby, Frank Gifford, was busted by a tabloid for his fling with flight attendant Suzen Johnson, talk show host Kathie Lee Gifford publicly and painfully stood by her man. She later told People that while she did consider leaving her husband, sex helped the couple weather the storm. "Because each time you make love that person feels forgiven and you feel restored and loved again," she said. She also said their kids Cody and Cassidy "never saw us argue…never saw us sleep in separate rooms. They never saw Daddy leave."

Victoria Beckham

Although David Beckham has denied that he cheated on his wife with a high-dollar call girl, rumors about his alleged infidelities have been swirling for years. (In 2004 his former personal assistant, Rebecca Loos, detailed a lengthy affair with the soccer stud.) Still, Victoria Beckham has never left her husband's side-- and even gave birth to their fourth child last year. In 2007 she told W Magazine of the affair rumors: "I'm not going to lie. It was a really tough time. But the fact is we've come out of everything we've been through stronger and happier. It's even better now than when we were first married."

Maria Shriver

After a slew of women came forward accusing him of sexual harassment in 2003, then-Cali governor hopeful Arnold Schwarzenegger apologized for his misconduct and wife Maria Shriver stayed with him. But by 2011, when it was revealed what the Arnie fathered a love child with a household staff employee Mildred Baena, all bets were off. After 25 years, the long-suffering Maria had had enough.

Fergie

He says it ain't so, but a stripper begs to differ. Still, amid all the bad press surrounding her hubby Josh Duhamel's alleged hookup with a busty blonde during a 2009 trip to Atlanta, Black Eyed Peas singer Fergie didn't miss a beat. On how she and Duhamel got through the tough times and the tabloid talk, Fergie told Glamour: "You have to have trust in your relationship… We live in a voyeuristic world, and it's part of our business. But I like to [focus on] all the perks that I get in this business."

Elizabeth Hurley

After he was arrested for soliciting a prostitute in 1995, actor Hugh Grant didn't have to solicit longtime love Elizabeth Hurley's forgiveness; she famously accompanied him to the premiere of his movie "Nine Months" shortly after the scandal broke, and the couple remained together for years afterwards. When they eventually did break up after 13 years, the split was as amicable as they come. They remained BFFs and Hurley named Grant the godfather of her son in 2002, joking that someday they may all be one big happy family. She told Britain's Hello magazine: "We've often said, if all else fails, we'll end up living together like Darby and Joan."
