Rebecca Romijn is not excited about turning 40.

Model Rebecca Romijn is turning 40 in November, and that seems to be triggering some nerves. The blonde beauty, who welcomed twin daughters in 2008, admitted that she isn't overly thrilled about being over the hill. "I loved my thirties," she recently said. "It's not like I'm not looking forward to 40; I'm just sad to be leaving my thirties." Turning 40 is a major milestone for people, and celebs are no different. Rebecca is just one example of a celeb that has talked about turning 40 in 2012. Here is a look at what some other stars had to say.

Gwyneth Paltrow

The Oscar-winning actress turned 40 in September, and she seems perfectly happy now. However, the "Shakespeare in Love" star admitted that she was nervous about crossing the big milestone. "I was really worried about it, leading up to the day, but now I feel really happy and content with my life," says the busy mom. "I'm excited to move into the next phase. It's much more exciting than I thought it would be." Now that she is past her fears, the actress says that she doesn't expect her life to change that much.

Sofia Vergara

The "Modern Family" actress had a bigger birthday than most this year. Not only did she celebrate turning 40 in July, but she also got engaged to Nick Loeb to mark the event. Despite that exciting moment, the Emmy nominee still had her reservations about getting older. "Turning 40 is horrible," she bluntly stated. "People that say it isn't are full of s**t." It turns out that for some, even the most exciting news isn't enough to erase the stigma of turning 40.

Cameron Diaz

The outspoken blonde star doesn't seem to have any qualms about turning 40. The "Bad Teacher" star, who celebrated her birthday on August 30, actually seemed excited about getting older. "For the first time in my life I'm content," she said shortly before her birthday. "I'm so excited. Getting older is the best part of life. Like, I know more than I've ever known. I have gratitude. I know myself better. I feel more capable than ever. And as far as the physicality of it - I feel better at 40 than I did at 25." Perhaps she can serve as inspiration for other stars that face milestone birthdays down the road.
