Did you know Ashton Kutcher can sing -- kind of?

The 2012 Academy of Country Music Awards was filled with top country stars like Taylor Swift, Blake Shelton, Lady Antebellum and KISS? There were some random celebrities that made for some head scratching moments on this year's awards show! There was definitely not a dull moment to be had on the ACM's.

Legendary rock band KISS, in full makeup and regalia, took the stage to announce the winner for Best Vocal Group (surprised and starstruck Lady Antebellum singer Charles Kelley commented that seeing Paul Stanley in his costume made him want to "pull his own chest hair out.") Gene Simmons mentioned that all a good group needed to succeed was great chemistry. He was right, but it was a little odd to see the men in their platform boots and wild makeup amongst the stars decked out in formal wear!

Carrot Top

Is it me or was that Carrot Top singing "Red Solo Cup" with Toby Keith? I think it definitely was! The red haired comedian is a frequent performer on the Las Vegas circuit, where this year's awards were held. Guess he stopped by to share a beer with singer Keith! A random moment but very entertaining! And if you looked closely, you may have gotten a glimpse of another Vegas legend...lounge singer Wayne Newton!

Steve Martin

Novelist, actor, writer, director…banjo player? Yes, you can add one more skill to Steve Martin's already full resume. He played backup banjo for popular band Rascal Flatts in a tribute to legendary banjo player Earl Scruggs, who passed away on March 28. The talented Martin has released two albums of bluegrass music showcasing his banjo skills, which he's been honing since he was a teenager.

Ashton Kutcher

Ashton Kutcher may not want to quit his day job as an actor on the television show "Two and a Half Men." The former model took the stage and warbled out a country tune wearing a cowboy hat and western shirt. Kutcher may be a talented comedian, but he shouldn't head to Nashville anytime soon! Should we even mention the newly minted country singer Lionel Richie finished the night with a duet starring himself and Blake Shelton?
