There's fresh meat on the catwalk for Season 2 of NBC's Fashion Star.

Louise Roe has been tapped to succeed Elle Macpherson as host of the fashion competition, Deadline reports.

"As executive producer of Fashion Star I'm really excited by our choice of Louise as host for the second season, I think her presence will energize and surprise," Macpherson, who also created the series, said in a statement. Roe called the new gig "an absolute dream job for me" in a statement. "As a host I love working with a live audience, but I'm also looking to use my experience as a journalist and designer, to very much empathize with the buyers and contestants."

Macpherson stepped down as host when Fashion Star was renewed for a second season in May. Roe, 30, is best known to audiences stateside for hosting The CW's makeover show Plain Jane, which is now in its third season on MTV International. Roe also appeared on several episodes of the MTV reality series The City, and contributed to red carpet coverage for the network's Movie Awards and Video Music Awards. She also helped co-anchor ABC's pre-Oscars show earlier this year and regularly hosts fashion segments for Access Hollywood.

Roe joins returning judges Jessica Simpson, Nicole Richie and John Varvatos for Fashion Star, which is set to return midseason.

Do you think Roe will make a good host?
