Paul Abdul celebrated her 50th birthday on June 18 as she prepares to start the next phase of her career. Abdul started off her as a pop singer with hits like "Straight Up" and "Cold Hearted Snake" and then reinvented herself as a judge on TV reality shows "American Idol" and "X-Factor." That's not too bad for a former Laker Girl.

Abdul also kept her name in the headlines with some high profile relationships over the years.

Arsenio Hall

When Abdul was just getting started in her music career, she met Arsenio Hall on the set of his movie, "Coming to America" in 1988. The two hit it off and Abdul cast the actor in her music video for "Straight Up." The two did not last too long but Hall remains close with the former pop star. When Abdul left "American Idol" in 2009, Hall was one of the first to reach out to her for a shoulder to lean on.

"I was madly in love with her," Hall said. "That's my girl to death and I'm always there for her."

John Stamos

After Hall, Abdul began dating John Stamos. The "Full House" star began dating Abdul while she was at the height of her popularity. Stamos had just started his role as Uncle Jesse on the popular TV show and spoke of his relationship with Abdul on a 2009 episode of "Ellen." He seemed uncomfortable when talking about the relationship and made comments about how uncomfortable it was being with someone who was the center of the world's attention.

Emilio Estevez

Abdul's first marriage was to actor Emilio Estevez in 1992. At the time of their marriage, both were busy with their careers and Abdul admitted at the time that they were waiting on having kids because of their hectic schedules. However, the two divorced after only two years and Abdul took it hard. Shortly after their divorce, Abdul became a workaholic and ended up at the Laureate Psychiatric Clinic and Hospital for an eating disorder.

Abdul's second marriage was to clothing designer, Brad Beckerman. The marriage lasted 17 months.
