Move over, Barbara Walters!
But when the talk turned to Fergie's father and his battle with cancer, the pop singer got teary-eyed.
"Let me get these tears out, Oprah," she said, before revealing that she forced her dad to get treatment for his cancer recurrence, despite the fact that he hadn't been to a doctor in ten years.
Another emotional topic? Her husband's alleged 2009 scandal with an Atlanta stripper.
"When you go through difficult times, it really makes you stronger as a unit, as a partnership," Fergie said. "Our love today is a deeper love... We're stronger today definitely because of anything difficult that's happened with us. Our marriage today… I couldn't ask for anything more."
Duhamel also nearly lost it when rehashing the couple's early marital rough patch. Of Oprah's interviewing prowess, the actor told omg, "She's a good interviewer. She almost got me to tear up a little bit. Almost."
Oprah does seem to have Barbara Walters' uncanny ability to make her guests turn on the waterworks! During an interview with pop superstar Rihanna last summer, O got the best of the Barbados beauty when she started asking about the singer's ex-boyfriend Chris Brown. "I am so mad!" Rihanna said. "She made me cry. I am not a crier, man. I'm gonna look so soft!"
Meanwhile, Oprah's interview with Fergie and Josh Duhamel had plenty of lighthearted moments as well. Video footage of the adorable aftermath of the couple's engagement was shown, with the singer giddily prancing along the massive Solvang, California, property that she later turned into a vineyard. There was also a bevy of vintage footage of Fergie's childhood days. Yes, she was always singing!
The interview also got to the heart of these matters:
Fergie's bisexuality: She calls herself "sexually open," but says her past experimentation with women was just for fun.
Her past drug addiction: She credits her strong spiritual connection with God for helping her end her crystal meth habit.
The secret to the couple's nine-year relationship: Josh credits their similar upbringing. "We grew up in very similar ways," he said. "My mother was a teacher. Both of her parents were teachers. We've both had to work for what we got. We're both Catholic. There were a lot of things that were really compatible between us."
Future kids: Josh wants five, Fergie wants two. They're having two!
"Oprah's Next Chapter" on Sunday night at 9/8c on OWN.
