‘The Office’ Ending After Season 9, Executive Producer Confirms

NBC's long-running sitcom will air its final season this fall. Are you ready to say goodbye?

It's official, folks: Dunder Mifflin is preparing to close its doors for good. The upcoming ninth season of The Office will be its last, executive producer Greg Daniels told reporters Aug. 21 during a conference call. He also revealed that the final season will introduce the audience to the as-yet-unseen documentary crew that's been filming the Dunder Mifflin employees this whole time! As for a visit from Steve Carell, who famously left the show in 2011, the cast and crew would love to have him back at some point during the final season. How do you feel about The Office ending? Is it too soon, just right, or has the show already lived far past its expiration date? Drop a comment with your reaction to the news below!
