Will the real Nicki Minaj please stand up?

The sexy singer recently revealed she had a light bulb moment on her concert tour last year and now wants to morph into mommy material.

"I was praying every day,' You know what, Lord? I want to be a mom one day, and I want to start becoming the woman who I want to parent my child,'" she said in an interview for her August cover in Marie Claire.

Yet just a few days ago, the rapper opened an Instagram account as @allpinkbarbiedreamhouse and she was not baking an apple pie. Her first picture depicted her grinding against two strippers at Club Perfections in Queens, New York.

Not that pole dancers can't be moms, but we're not sure if that's what the Harajuku Barbie had in mind for her mommy makeover.

The former "American Idol" judge has a history of making headlines for being a wild child. In addition to her famous feuds with fellow divas Lil' Kim and Mariah Carey, her wig wardrobe contains more colors than a crayon box. In May, Minaj shocked some mainstream TV viewers when she gave Lil Wayne a lap dance at the Billboard Music Awards telecast and her acceptance speech for winning the BET Best Hip-Hop Artist award last year was riddled with bleeps.

Minaj's own childhood was filled with trauma. She told Rolling Stone that her father was a "violent drug addict (who) once set their house on fire while her mother was inside." In fact, one of her main motivations for becoming famous was making enough money to take care of her mom.

So what kind of mom will Minaj be? We're guessing that she would be a lot of fun and not sweat the small stuff. One can only imagine the lullabies she would sing, and diaper duty would be no problema since she is comfortable around bare butts. On a more serious note though, the wounded woman who moved around as a young girl would likely be very sensitive to her children's emotional needs.

Like Snooki, part of MInaj's controversial public image is performance art that keeps her name in the news. The former "Jersey Shore" store showed that wild children can be tamed when they have children of their own. "[Motherhood is] pretty great," she told the Ashbury Park Press. "Before I had the baby, I was very selfish, and all I wanted to do was go to Vegas with my boyfriend and party."

Of course, motherhood doesn't turn every woman into a Carol Brady or Clair Huxtable. Britney Spears had a bumpy ride as a new mommy and even lost custody of her two children before getting back her groove. She is now a more mature mom who appears to have a healthy relationship with her two sons, Sean Preston and Jayden James and with ex-hubby Kevin Federline.

Meanwhile, the jury is still out on new mom Kim Kardashian who has been practically M.I.A. since the birth of baby North West. About the most controversial thing she has done recently is hire a nanny so she could get her beauty sleep.

So what do you think? Will Nicki Minaj be a nurturing mom? Or is she too needy for attention? Weigh in below.
