It looks like Nicki Minaj has made another enemy. The outspoken rapper is in the midst of a full-on feud with "Access Hollywood" host Billy Bush -- and it's not the first time she's butted heads with a TV journalist.
On Tuesday's "Today Show," Bush chatted with Kathie Lee Gifford and Hoda Kotb about the "American Idol" judge's "unprofessional" behavior during a red carpet interview with a fellow "Access" reporter Laura Saltman. He called Minaj "passive aggressive" and compared her to "a female Kanye."
"Just a pariah," Bush said. "Mariah and the Pariah…I've just about had it with her. She's so rude and so indignant."
Last week, Minaj walked off in the middle of a red carpet interview with Saltman.
In a blog post, Saltman wrote: "In my 20 years in entertainment news, I have interviewed close to 5,000 celebrities - people who have bigger bragging rights than Nicki. Men and women who have Oscars, Grammys and Emmys. Yet, by far, she is the most ungracious of anyone I have met… In my 12 years covering 'Idol,' I have never seen someone with such a disconnect to the media."
Minaj went on a Twitter tirade, slamming Bush and Saltman with tweets like: "Take that man Billy Bush...like r u the fake Ryan Seacrest? Like my g, who the f-- r u?" She also tweeted: "The audacity of you to call me nạsty with your one sided journalism. That's what u ppl do. Yes. I AM the female Kanye."
In another dig she wrote: "But shout out to all the REAL journalists who were there and asked questions about AMBER and the rest of the CONTESTANTS!!!"
While Nicki Minaj's feuds with everyone from rap icon Lil' Kim to her "Idol" co-worker Mariah Carey are legendary, it's hard to believe she's now engaging in a feud with journalists who are just trying to do their job. Then again, this is the same girl who directed a nasty tweet at 83-year old TV news legend Barbara Walters last year.
"Barbara Walters didn't reach out from our team barbz. I guess we're too dangerous. Don't shake if u don't wanna get shook!!!!" she wrote of the famed TV news journalist after Walters talked about her on "The View" and called her "unpredictable."
On the E! special "Nicki Minaj: My Truth," Minaj claimed that Walters never reached out to her to get her side of the story regarding the feud between the "Idol" judges.
"Am I not good enough for you to get my side?... If I was J-Lo, you would have called J. Lo's camp...So I guess I'm not good enough, but I'm only good enough for you to tell people that I'm unpredictable when you don't f---ing know me!" (Walters later claimed she did reach out to Minaj.)
Nicki Minaj's reign on "American Idol" Season 12 is slated to end on May 16.
