Neil Patrick Harris Calls Tony Awards 'Fifty Shades of Gay' and Other Celebs Tweeting About Tony Awards

Yahoo Contributor Network

Fans of Broadway came together Sunday night to celebrate the Tony Awards, hosted by Neil Patrick Harris. This was Harris' third time hosting the show, and identified the ceremony as "the 66th annual Tony Awards, or, as we like to call it, Fifty Shades of Gay." The day before hosting the show, Harris tweeted that he should "start preparing something..." All in good fun, he fell into the stereotype that Broadway shows and musicals are mostly enjoyed by the homosexual community. Stereotypes aside, the evening was a big hit for everyone participating. Here are what a few stars had to say about the show on Twitter.
