Television's hottest geek is officially off the market! NCIS star Pauley Perrette announced her engagement on Twitter earlier this week.

The actress made the accidental announcement when she wrote, "I do have my sweet Marine fiancé. He says you'll never be alone. You're beautiful & I'll love you through this." Of course, the tweet started a flurry of inquiries into who exactly was the lucky chap that won her heart to which she replied, "My sis told me to have fun tonight so me & my fiancé (who BTW is NOT an 'aspiring actor') are watching Say Anything."

So who exactly is the lucky guy? Her fiancé is reportedly former British marine Thomas Arklie. Little is known yet about her new fiance and no details have been released about the wedding.

Here's a look at some other television celebrities who became engaged in 2011:

Heather Locklear and Jack Wagner

: They were a couple made in soap opera heaven. The couple that first met on the set of "Melrose Place" somehow ended up with their own happy ending in the summer of 2011. The only problem was that their kids weren't quite ready to become part of a blended family leading to their calling off the engagement a few short months later.

Amy Smart and Carter Oosterhouse: The actress and her tv handyman fiance first got tongues wagging when they canoodled on the red carpet in January 2011. The couple wasted no time getting engaged in April and tied the knot in September.

Kristin Cavallari and Jay Cutler: It's been a turbulent year for the "Laguna Beach" star and her NFL quarterback fiance. After becoming engaged in April, the groom famously got cold feet just days after their engagement party this summer. She nursed her wounds with the support of thousands of Twitter followers and promptly returned the engagement presents. The bride got her groove back during the Fall season of "Dancing with the Stars" and the two somehow found their way back to each other. They announced that their wedding plans were back on in November 2011.

Neil Patrick Harris and David Burtka: He may play a cad on "How I Met Your Mother", but off-screen NPH only has eyes for his partner David. Already parents to twins, Gideon and Harper, the longtime couple announced their engagement in June following the passage of the Marriage Equality Act in New York.

Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries: They didn't just let the cameras of her reality show follow their whirlwind courtship. The world's most famous reality couple allowed the world to watch their entire relationship from the rosy engagement through the romantic wedding to the ultimate breakup. The kicker is that the love story that should have taken years to build all happened in the course of a few short months.
