NBC will air The Munsters reboot Mockingbird Lane as a Halloween special.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the pilot, which cost NBC $10 million, will air Friday, Oct. 26 at 8/7c before Grimm.

Is The Munsters Reboot Dead Before It Even Began?

The project, which has been in development for two years, comes from writer-producer Bryan Fuller and director Bryan Singer. The cast includes Jerry O'Connell, Portia de Rossi and Eddie Izzard.

Unlike the goofy CBS original, Mockingbird Lane is a more serious family drama that will feature Fuller's signature visual style.

NBC hasn't completely left Fuller out in the cold. The showrunner is currently working on Hannibal, a midseason drama about Hannibal Lecter.
