Miley Cyrus, Nicki Minaj & More: Who Will Judge ‘American Idol’?

From the cool (Miley Cyrus) to the crazy (Charlie Sheen), we’re rounding up all the potential new ‘Idol’ judges. Vote away!

With the news that neither Steven Tyler nor Jennifer Lopez are returning as American Idol judges in season 12, producers are scrambling to find replacements for the panel. And while it’s anyone’s guess what the actual table will look like come January, some big names have already been dropped, including Miley Cyrus and Nicki Minaj. Oh, and literally every other entertainer in Hollywood.

I’m not kidding. Everyone from Lady Gaga to Elton John to will.i.am has been offered up as a possibility.

Former Idol runner-up Adam Lambert was one of the first names to be floated out in the universe, but while it was originally reported that he and Idol had begun discussions, he issued a statement to clear the air.

Idol has an amazing history of introducing great musical talent, and I was very fortunate to have had the Idol stage play a big part in my career,” Adam told The Hollywood Reporter. “IF Idol wants to talk to me about judging, I’d be more than flattered to have that conversation.”

Katy Perry has also been approached, but it sounds like she’d rather focus on growing her music career, a decision I totally admire.

“People have reached out to me about the possibility of being involved,” she told THR. ”And it’s not right for me yet.”

And in crazier news, Idol‘s head honcho Nigel Lythgoe has said he’d also like to see Jerry Lewis and Charlie Sheen join the mix.

So, America, cast your vote and tell us who YOU think deserves a seat at the Idol table!
