Michael Strahan Reportedly Chosen As Kelly Ripa’s New ‘Live’ Co-Host

Former NFL-er Michael Strahan is being drafted — and his new team is adorable. TMZ reports that Michael, 40, will be announced as Kelly Ripa's new Live! With Kelly co-host Sept. 4, ending a very long search for Regis Philbin's replacement. But wait ... HollywoodLife.com actually told you first! "All bets are on Michael Strahan," a source told us back in May. "He’s funny, does well on camera and gets along really fabulously with Kelly. Michael is the top name that is seriously being thrown around right now." Michael was one of many potential co-hosts considered for the plum seat, including Anderson Cooper, Josh Groban, Seth Meyers and Kelly's husband Mark Consuelos.
