Jennifer Grey joins Melissa Gilbert on the list of injured dancing stars!

Melissa Gilbert caused a few hearts to jump on Monday night when she smashed her head onto the dance floor during "Dancing With the Stars." She was taken to a Los Angeles hospital and diagnosed with a head injury.

"As a result of hitting her head during the dance [Monday], Melissa has a mild concussion and whiplash. She is at home, resting comfortably and looking forward to her next dance," her rep told CNN.

The actress sat out on Tuesday night's results show, but she's expected to be back in action next week.

Surprisingly, few injuries happen on the popular ABC reality competition. Who else has hobbled off the dance floor on the show?

Marie Osmond

Singer and actress Marie Osmond caught everyone off guard when she fainted live on the air back during her "Dancing With the Stars" days in 2007. Osmond just finished her samba with partner Jonathan Roberts when she collapsed.

"This happens sometimes when I get winded," she told then-host Samantha Harris after she came too. "I'm so sorry."

Jennifer Grey

Jennifer Grey might have won her season of "Dancing With the Stars", but she suffered a serious setback because of it. The actress, injured in a 1987 car accident, suffered a back injury from performing on the show.

"It's just going be like a little surgery where they take out the ruptured disc thing, and you know, it won't be a big deal," she told People of the surgery that happened in early 2011. "Compared to the other surgeries I had on my neck, my doctor says it won't be a big deal. I'll be home that night."

Grey knows how to deal with pain, though - she went through several neck surgeries after the accident and had her thyroid removed after a bout with cancer.

Kym Johnson

Celebrities aren't the only ones prone to injuries. "DWTS" pro Kym Johnson was on the receiving end of a neck injury while performing with Hines Ward in 2011.

"After several tests, she was cleared by the medical staff, though she is bruised, sore and currently wearing a neck brace," the show said in a statement at the time. "Kym plans to continue with Hines Ward in the competition and resume rehearsals as soon as possible."

Johnson went on to win that season with Ward.

Ralph Macchio

"Karate Kid" star Ralph Macchio didn't get his injury on the show, but the ruptured cyst he suffered with during his season of the show was quite painful.

"Have missed days of rehearsal this week," Macchio tweeted in May 2011. "Had a ruptured cyst on the back of my knee causing acute pain. Hoping to be able to perform tonight!"

He did make it and performed the Viennese Waltz with his partner, pro Karina Smirnoff. What a trooper!
