Leighton, 26, and Hugh, 53, play next door neighbors Nina and David in the film. David happens to be best friends with Nina's father, so naturally when their romance is discovered, awkwardness ensues.
The movie also stars Adam Brody (The O.C.) and Alia Shawkat (Arrested Development).
The Oranges opens in limited release October 5.
