Can you believe Matthew McConaughey turns 42 on Friday?
Over the years, the famously fit father-of-two hasn't been shy about showing off his six-pack abs, chiseled chest and bulging biceps. But according to McConaughey, a body like his doesn't come easy.
"I do shoulder presses, chest presses, bent-over rows, overhead triceps extensions, a couple of biceps curls," the actor once told Men's Health. "Add in hamstring, groin, and back stretches after that, and you're good."
The Texas native added that while he's a proponent of exercise, he can't go too long without his favorite comfort foods.
"It's fun to feel healthy, and it's fun to feel good," McConaughey said. "And I gotta have both. Working out is Monday. Eating good food, having a cocktail, going dancing? That's Saturday. But you can have it all in the same day."
