Martin Lawrence Files for Divorce
Martin Lawrence has filed for divorce a week after announcing his split from his wife, Shamicka, People reports.
"Out of love and respect for one another we will continue to remain friends and raise our two beautiful daughters together," they said in a joint statement.

Lawrence and Shamicka were married for less than two years, but had been together for almost 17. They have two daughters ages 9 and 11.
Lawrence is seeking joint custody and is asking that their assets be divided per their prenuptial agreement.
