Oh, Lindsay Lohan, just when we thought things were looking up for you. Yesterday New York police were called to the scene of a domestic violence report involving LiLo and her mother, Dina. Apparently the two were in quite the row, but that's not really what this story has wound up being about. In the course of the argument with her mother, the "Mean Girls" star phoned up her father Michael and told him that her mother was acting like she was on cocaine. According to TMZ, Lindsay told them everything she told her dad was false.
"I'm really regretful about the argument I had with my mother," Lindsay told the website. She said she told her father "a really hurtful and untruthful lie about my mom. My mom does not do cocaine, clearly." Later in the interview Lindsay got even nastier with her father, saying she was "done" with him. " He doesn't know what it means to be a father. Maybe he just doesn't want to be a dad." Ouch! Though, it seems to us that a guy who takes a call from his freaked out daughter in the wee hours of the morning in the middle of a major blowout with his ex-wife at least has some idea how to be a father, but in this case, with this family, who knows?
After this most recent about-face, is it just time to leave Lindsay alone for awhile?
Yes, Please, Let's Ignore LiLo For a Bit - It seems like for every step forward, the young woman who used to have one of the hottest rising careers in Hollywood immediately takes four steps back. The question becomes whether all the pressure of being in the tabloids and trying to reboot her career has just become too much for Lindsay to handle all at once. It was only a few short months ago that she was uncertain if she'd be facing serious jail time stemming from her myriad court battles. Perhaps if we all just leave her in peace, in time she'll have her life straightened out.
No Way! This is Great Entertainment! - Maybe the "Freaky Friday" star has had enough embarrassing moments in the tabloids for four lifetimes, but that never stopped us from paying attention to Liz Taylor, who Lindsay plays in the upcoming Lifetime film "Liz & Dick." She's also been trying really hard to clean her act up and this could easily be just one minor setback on her road to full recovery.
What do you think? Is it time for us to leave Lindsay alone?
